Opening on 28 MHz – 14th Jan 2021

There have been an interesting few mid-Winter Sporadic-E openings over the last few days and the 14th of January 2021 was no exception. The map above shows the high number of stations all over Europe that I heard via Sporadic-E. The signals from Russia and Ukraine were either double-hop Sporadic-E or F2 propagation.

Even though the solar flux was down at 73, some F2 signals from South America and Australia also made it through.
