On January 12, 2021, Aleksandr Ivanovich Bokov RK4C passed away at the age of 61.

Honorary Worker of Civil Aviation. Corresponding member of the Academy of Cosmonautics. The pilot of the first class with 30 years of experience.

He was born on July 7, 1960. In 1985 he graduated from Aktobe Higher Flight School of Civil Aviation. He worked as a pilot, pilot-instructor of Yak-40, pilot-instructor of Yak-42, commander of the flying squadron of Saratov Aviation Plant. In 2003 he was appointed General Director of Saratov Airlines (left his post in May 2012). Since 2013 he has held the position of the Head of Saratov ATC Center of the branch “Aeronavigation of Central Volga” of FSUE “State Corporation on Air Traffic Control”.

Alexander was distinguished by his high professionalism, great respect for people, the ability to solve problems. A wonderful family man, husband, father, and grandfather.

Despite the heavy workload at work, Alexander Ivanovich always had time for his favorite hobby – amateur radio. In addition to the usual work on the air, he organized field trips to participate in competitions and himself participated in regional and all-Russian competitions. He also attended the Saratov amateur radio roundtables. The radio amateur community suffered a great loss.

The Saratov Regional Branch of the Russian Amateur Radio Union offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
