Paying tribute to those who defended Moscow during the Great Patriotic War, the Moscow Regional Branch of the SRR, with the support of the Presidium of the SRR and the amateur radio portal HAMLOG.ru, spend days of activity of radio amateurs of the Moscow region, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow, which became one of the turning points in the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

All licensed radio amateurs of the world are invited to participate in the days of activity of radio amateurs of the Moscow region.

Period of activity days

  • Termination: 23 hours. 59 min. UTC 13 December 2020.

Days of activity of radio amateurs of the Moscow region are held in memory of the military and labor exploits of the defenders of the capital of our homeland – Hero City of Moscow. The Days of Activity is held under the auspices of the Moscow Regional Branch of the SRR.

As part of the Days of Activity, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the defense of Moscow, the work of the memorial radio station RM41MB (“Battle for Moscow”) – Moscow region.

The work period of the memorial radio station RM41MB:

  • Start 00 h. 00 min. UTC 28 November 2020;
  • Termination: 23 hours. 59 min. UTC 13 December 2020.

Accountable radiocommunications – two-way radiocommunications, carried out during the period from November 28 to December 13, 2020, on any amateur FM (including WARC) and VHF bands (using any type of passing TR, AU, MS, EME, IPS, etc.), any kind of work (CW, PHONE [SSB, FM, AM], DIGITAL [RTTY, PSK, FT8, etc.]), including radiocommunications through IPS are counted. Repeated radio communications are counted on other amateur bands and/or other types of work.

Radios set by PHONE are counted on one band only once, regardless of the modulation type. Radios set by DIGITAL are counted on the same band only once, regardless of the type of work (RTTY, PSK, FT8, etc.) and/or speed (PSK31, PSK64, etc.). Radio communications installed on VHF bands conducted with the use of terrestrial repeaters (repeaters) are not counted.

The participants of the Activity Days are awarded the electronic diploma “Battle for Moscow”. To obtain the diploma “Battle for Moscow” is necessary:

  • to radio amateurs of Moscow and Moscow region to hold at least 79 bilateral radio communications with amateur radio stations of the world. An obligatory condition is to upload your hardware magazine, in electronic form, to the amateur radio portal HAMLOG.ru;
  • the operators of the memorial radio station RM41MB to conduct at least 300 two-way radiocommunications;
  • to other radio amateurs of the world to gain not less than 79 points for bilateral radio communications with amateur radio stations of Moscow and the region. Only those radio communications which are confirmed by objective data on the portal HAMLOG.ru are accepted for offset.

The points for bilateral radio communications with amateur radio stations of Moscow and the Moscow region are calculated as follows:

  • for radio communications with Veterans of WWII (regardless of their geographical location) – 15 points each;
  • for radio communications with the memorial radio station R1941MB – 10 points;
  • for radio communications with radio amateurs of Veterans of War Glory: Volokolamsk (MO-58), Dmitrov (MO-60), Naro-Fominsk (MO-75) and Mozhaisk (MO-73) – 2 points each;
  • for radio communications with radio amateurs of Moscow region (RDA MO-xx) and Moscow city (RDA MA-xxx) – 1 point each.

The points for two-way radio communications are doubled for radio amateurs NA, SA, AF, AS, and OC, as well as for radio amateurs of the Asian part of Russia, located in the ITU 21-26, 32-35 zones. The points for two-way radiocommunications, installed on VHF and 160 meters band, are multiplied by 4. For radio amateurs NA, SA, AF, AV, and OC, as well as for radio amateurs of the Asian part of Russia, located in areas ITU 21-26, 32-35 – by 6. For veterans of World War II and workers of the rear, the diploma is issued regardless of the number of their radio communications.

Diploma “Battle for Moscow” is issued electronically, through the amateur radio portal HAMLOG.ru, only on the basis of data downloaded by radio amateurs in Moscow and the Moscow region. Data on radio communications confirmed by other methods (eQSL, LoTW, paperQSL, etc.) are not accepted for consideration.

The organizers are not responsible for the actions and/or omissions of the participants of the Days of Activity, bilateral radio communications with which are not confirmed by objective data on the portal HAMLOG.ru.

The report (application for a diploma) is:

  • for the operators of RM41MB memorial radio station – hardware magazine in electronic form (ADIF format), uploaded to the database of HAMLOG.ru portal through the service: “We are a team” → “We are a team” → “Add/Download”. When loading a log, the RDA field is mandatory.
  • for Great Patriotic War veterans and home front workers – hardware log in any format (electronic, paper).
  • for operators of Moscow and Moscow Region – hardware magazine in electronic form (ADIF format), uploaded to the database of portal HAMLOG.ru. When loading a log, the RDA field is mandatory.

  • there are no deadlines for other participants.
