RI01ANT Antarctica

RI01ANT Alexey (RX6A) on January 2, 2021, by helicopter from the icebreaker “Akademik Tryoshnikov” unloaded at Progress station. A transport crossing to Mirny station is planned.

He asked to call sometimes in FT8 on free frequencies specifically RI01ANT. 14 MHz is out – a lot of noise. Will work in FT8 on 10,18,21 MHz. on pass-through. Hears everyone loud. So it’s a matter of reception at our place.

Progress (Progress-2) is a Soviet and Russian Antarctic year-round station in the Larsemann Hills on the shore of Prydz Bay, near Lake Steppe.

Not far from Progress is the Chinese Zhongshan station and the Indian Bharati station
