I regret to inform you that on October 30, 2020, Oleg Aleksandrovich Chernozemov UA4CIF died unexpectedly.

Oleg, like many radio amateurs of the USSR, began his amateur radio career by observing amateur radio stations.
He was fond of amateur radio broadcasting and soon received a personal callsign in the Kuibyshev region (Samara). After changing his residence, he continued to be active in the RO SRR Saratov region. He took an active part in the work of many collective radio stations in the Kuibyshev and Saratov regions. He was an operator of special radio stations at the landing site of the world’s first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. In Saratov regional radio club he worked as a secretary of SRR Radio. At amateur radio conferences, he offered his solutions to our problems. His advice was listened to. He was always sociable and friendly.

The regional branch of the Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia in the Saratov region condoles with the relatives and close ones of the deceased. The amateur radio community has suffered a heavy loss. Bright memory about Oleg will remain in our hearts. Eternal flight in our boundless amateur radio air!
